Moana Medical Centre is a stand-alone accredited general practice located in the beachside suburb of Moana and has been providing family care services to the community for over 30 years.
Surrounded by the growing suburbs of Seaford, Seaford Meadows, Seaford Heights, Seaford Rise and Moana, we are within walking distance of the popular Moana Beach. With a short drive to vibrant Port Noarlunga and the Fleurieu Peninsula, including the renowned McLaren Vale wine region, our practice is ideally situated.
Moana Medical Centre aspires to provide exceptional healthcare in a welcoming and supportive environment, where our patients and staff feel valued and respected.
Our practice actively encourages our doctors, nurses and staff to continually maintain and improve their knowledge and skills, to ensure our practice remains at the forefront of general practice.
With long-term supportive doctors, administration staff and CDM nurses, we believe in promoting continuity of care and lasting relationships with both existing and new patients, while striving to fulfil their needs.
We have five newly renovated consulting rooms with up to date facilities, a nurse/treatment room, and a pathology collection centre located on site for the convenience of our patients and clinical staff.
Supporting GP Registrars
Moana Medical Centre has two accredited supervisors who possess a wealth of general practice experience. Our female GP is also very experienced and is willing to assist with support for our registrars. Our registered nurses have substantial experience in all aspects of general practice nursing including GP management plans, immunisation, iron infusions and wound care. The Practice Manager and administration staff are also very knowledgeable and supportive, and able to help at any time with administration enquiries and general assistance.
One of our supervisor’s interests include diabetes and the instigation of insulin, minor surgery (lumps/bumps), cardiac care, high blood pressure and assessing cardiovascular risk, mental health, men’s health and paediatrics.
Our other supervisor’s interests include psychiatry, geriatrics and palliative care, iron infusions, complex care, minor surgery, women’s and men’s health, mental health, and paediatrics.
Our female GP, although not an accredited supervisor, is always available to our registrars to assist and support our supervisors. Her interests included antenatal shared care, post-natal care, women’s health, preventative health, emotional and physical wellbeing and paediatrics.
Clinical team and all-staff practice meetings are held on a regular basis.
Although Moana Medical Centre has only been taking registrars since 2021, we believe we offer an enthusiastic, comprehensive and very supportive experience for registrars who choose to join our team.
Our supervisors strive to support each of our registrars to the best of their ability, and the whole team is available to support and encourage you throughout your journey, whilst you are part of our organisation.
